Born in Buenos Aires of Swiss origin, she graduated at
the academy of music of her city and concluded her studies
in Zürich with Hans Willi Haeusslein, Werner Ernst
and in New York with Robert Blafield and Richard Woitach.
Her brilliant international career either in Opera, Lieder,
Oratorios or the symphonic repertoire led her to perform
in the United States, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and
Italy with famous conductors and pianists as C. Abbado,
M. Rossi, R. Shaw, J. Krips, D. Paris, A. Sisillo, R.
Kettelson, M. Caporaloni, etc.
She was soloist of the Convivium di Musica, I Solisti
di Roma and of the International Soloist Group. As organizing
operator of the music life she was foundation member of
the Argentine Mozarteum; board member of the Gruppo di
Rinnovamento Musicale; from 1970 to 1995 she is responsible
for the musical activity of the Insituto Italo Latino
Americano (IILA) and consultant of the Festival Pontino;
member for IILA of the Commission for Scholarships of
the Accademia Chigiana di Siena.
Since 1985 she devotes herself to didactics directed to
advanced studies of vocal techniques and coaching in the
traditional repertoire, without neglecting the techniques
of new music; she has held post-graduate courses and masterclasses
at the Arts Academy in Roma (1985/94). During the past
ten years she was member of juries in international singing
competitions as the Vincenzo Bellini, the Valentino Bucchi
Award, the Angelica Catalani and the Giacomo Lauri Volpi
of which she is Artistic Director since 1994; she is President
of the International Opera Competition of the Abruzzi.
At present she presides the Accademia Internazionale delle
Arti AIDA where she holds voice masterclasses and professional
training for singers with Italo Nunziata.
Many of her students are winners of international competitions
and been launched in successful careers.
